First, we would like to thank each and every one of you for your support of Discover Pacific Beach and our Annual Casino Night and Awards.
Earlier today the County of San Diego mandated to enforce Governor Newson’s policy to not allow social gatherings larger than 250 people in order to protect our community from spreading the coronavirus (COVID-19). While these are unfortunate circumstances we fully support the County of San Diego’s decision to best protect Pacific Beach from spreading this virus and hopefully shortening the time in which our community will be effected. Therefore, we are choosing to postpone the Annual Casino Night and Awards to a November date.
- If you were nominated for an award we are working on a way to announce our winners in the next week or so, stay tuned!
That being said we understand that these are uncertain times for all of us but particularly our small business community. Please continue to stay informed by credible sources like the County of San Diego link below. We are urging people to spend their money strategically as our small businesses brace for a difficult month and continue to patronize them as appropriate. If you have the means please consider purchasing a gift card to pay forward from your favorite small business or a donation to the local food bank, who will be stressed for resources providing for those who cannot purchase food in advance.

Mark your calendar for the Annual Dinner and Casino Night on Thursday, March 19th from 6-10pm aboard the William D. Evans Historic Sternwheeler, launching from the Catamaran to celebrate all the successes and accomplishments that Pacific Beach has achieved throughout the 2019 year. Have fun with colleagues, neighbors, and friends at a fundraiser and award ceremony featuring a riverboat style gambling reception, a plated dinner, and silent auction to benefit the many programs of Discover Pacific Beach.
